Bursaries
Bursaries given by the Graduate House is an award of $500 to specially recognised Residents. This extra funding helps give recepients the extra push or support they need to boost their career or study. It equips them with the freedom to explore new areas and opens doors to new opportunities they could otherwise not afford.
Why we need Bursaries
Today, the costs required to ensure a good quality education are extremely high. Post Graduate students are under immense pressure as most often they have to foot their expenses themselves. Bursaries are the much needed financial avenues today to ease the pressure on these students. It positions them and gives them a better footing in the pursuit of their education.
Oliver Lowell
“Thanks to the help of a very generous Graduate House Bursary award, I was lucky enough to attend the Australian Association of Mathematics Teachers’ (AAMT) national conference at Adelaide University. I now feel much more connected to the Australian Mathematics Teaching community and I’m currently co-planning a workshop for the upcoming Mathematics Association of Victoria conference in December.
I’d like to sincerely thank Graduate House for its support to attend this conference. It has been a formative experience in my development as an educator.”
